I love video games. Especially PC, Original Xbox, and old Nintendo handhelds. I’m a lifelong video game enthusiast with a passion for restoring and preserving the consoles, hardware, and games that I grew up with.

Every console, game, and accessory listed in my store is individually sourced, refurbished, cleaned, and thoroughly tested with the goal of giving old hardware a second chance at life.

Before a console is listed, it receives preventative maintenance appropriate for its revision. This means replacing old capacitors, servicing the disk drive, replacing thermal paste, or whatever else it needs to keep it running reliably.

I think this era of video games is worth preserving. These consoles have already lasted more than twenty years, and with a little care, there's no reason they can't last another twenty.

My goal is simple: keep original hardware working, playable, and in the hands of people who actually want to use it.

Repair Process

Every console gets preventative maintenance appropriate for its revision. That means replacing aging capacitors, removing failed clock capacitors where applicable, replacing thermal paste, servicing the DVD drive, inspecting and repairing the power supply when necessary, or taking care of whatever else the console needs to keep it running reliably.

If I find another issue during inspection or testing, I address it before the console is listed for sale.

Cleaning Process

Every console is completely disassembled and cleaned inside and out. Years of dust and grime are removed from the case, motherboard, fan, vents, DVD drive, side vents, rear fins, and other components before the console is reassembled.

The goal isn't to make a twenty-year-old Xbox look brand new. It's to make sure it's clean, serviced, and ready for another round.

Testing Process

Every console is thoroughly tested before it's listed for sale. I verify that it boots consistently, reads game disks properly, creates and deletes save data, and that all controller ports, audio/video output, and included cables work properly.
